Dynamical time scales of friction dynamics in active microrheology of a model glass

Abstract
Driven-probe simulations and friction time-series analysis separate motion within temporary cages of neighboring atoms from slower structural rearrangement in a disordered model solid. When the probe moves slowly, the region moving together grows as the material cools.
