Abstract
Three-dimensional microscopy, shrinking-droplet simulations, and optical calculations show that slowly drying water droplets dispersed in another liquid form ordered, 20-faced silica clusters. Their particle arrangements produce vivid reflected color that varies little across viewing directions.
